We are starting our 2012 chapter meetings off with an exceptional opportunity for our members.  On Wednesday March 21 join us behind the scenes at Terminal 1, Pearson International Airport and discover some of the intricacies of airport logistics. Tour some of the 16 kilometres of baggage belts, observe logistics at Mission Control and have a peek inside the Distinguished Visitor’s Lounge.

Network with your colleagues over breakfast and experience a side of the airport that no one – other than airport personnel – gets to see.

Space is extremely limited, so sign up NOW for this one-of-a-kind opportunity. Due to security regulations, guided tours will be handled in two groups.

Pearson International Airport is Canada’s busiest airport, handling over 31.8 million passengers per year, and 45,000 pieces of luggage per day. Annually, the airport maneuvers over 418,292 aircraft and almost 500,000 metric tonnes of cargo.

 

VERY IMPORTANT:
ONCE REGISTERED YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE TIME OF YOUR TOUR OR SUBSTITUTE  WITH ANYONE ELSE.  BECAUSE OF SECURITY CLEARANCE WE NEED TO PROVIDE THE GTAA WITH PRECISE LISTS OF ATTENDEES PRIOR TO THE EVENT.


WHEN REGISTERING CHOOSE EITHER GROUP #1 OR GROUP #2.  YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED TO ONE OF TWO TOUR TIMES BUT YOU MUST ARRIVE AT THE EVENT PRIOR TO THE SECURITY REGISTRATION TIME FOR YOUR EVENT.


MANDATORY REQUIREMENT FOR THE TOUR IS ONE PIECE OF GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID: A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE OR PASSPORT.  YOU MUST BRING THIS ID WITH YOU TO THE EVENT OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOUR.

Please wear comfortable footwear as the tours are walking tours.

Please note the tours last approximately one hour.

Cost:
Members until March 15: $45.00 plus HST       
Members after March 15: $65.00 plus HST


Due to capacity limitations registration is only open to Site Canada members before March 7, 2012. If space is still available after March 7, 2012, registration will be available to non-members.


Non-Members March 7 - 15: $75.00 plus HST   
Non-Members after March 15: $95.00 plus HST
